| What is the exact ranking of my college, JNU? |
I am doing my PhD in Germany. I did my M.Sc. in biotechnology from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. My professor wants to know about the ranking of my university in India. I know that it will be in top 10 universities in India and I conveyed the same to him but I want to know the exact ranking of my university. Could you please find out this and let me know. This is urgent as they relate this ranking on my Ph.D.

Dear Exact Ranking:
As you know, the ranking of colleges is not a common practice in India. Moreover, the college rankings vary across sources depending on their methodology and the rigor of evaluation. There is no universal agreement of how college rankings must be conducted. As a result, there is no "exact" ranking for any college. You should appreciate this fact since you have an engineering background.
Unless a college offers a single program, the college ranking is a collection of rankings of its various programs, which is not very informative. We are not aware of any rankings for the JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University). Your best bet to obtain any information related to JNU's reputation and rankings would be the JNU itself.
